Trial and purchases
Is it free?
TandaBox comes with a seven-day free trial with all core features unlocked. You can extend the trial once for another seven days. After that, it’s a one-time purchase. No subscription.
How do I extend the trial?
In the app, under Settings › Packages while your trial is running, or on the screen that appears after it ends. You can extend it once, for another seven days.
What does the one-time purchase include?
The core: the player, tanda builder, and Milonga mode, unlocked permanently. The Equalizer Pack is optional and sold separately; TandaBox Complete includes both.
What happens if my trial ends during a milonga?
The music keeps playing until you end the session.
I bought TandaBox on another iPhone. How do I get it back?
Purchases are tied to your Apple Account. Sign in with the same Apple Account and choose Restore Purchases under Settings › Packages.
Where can I see prices?
Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency.

Which iPhones are supported?
Any iPhone that can run iOS 26.
Which formats are supported?
MP3, AAC, ALAC (M4A), FLAC, WAV, and AIFF.
Does it work with Apple Music or Spotify?
No. TandaBox plays files you own and store on your phone.
Why won’t some of my tracks play?
DRM-protected tracks cannot be played. TandaBox plays files you own, in the formats above.
Does TandaBox change my files?
No. No re-encoding, no trimming, no rewritten tags. Any corrections you make stay inside the app.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. TandaBox uses the internet only for the trial and purchases, which the App Store handles.
Can I take my data with me?
Your audio files stay available in the Files app, and you can export a report of each night. Both remain available after a trial ends.
TandaBox Transfer
What is TandaBox Transfer?
A free Mac app that sends tracks from your Mac to TandaBox on your iPhone over your own Wi-Fi. It’s a bridge, not a second player.
Where do I get it?
From the Download page. It requires a Mac running macOS 26 or later.
Where does Transfer go after I open it?
It lives in the menu bar, not the Dock.
My iPhone doesn’t appear in Transfer. What should I check?
Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. On your iPhone, open TandaBox and stay on Import › Transfer from Mac while the transfer is in progress. The first time you use it, macOS and iOS ask for permission to access the local network; Transfer needs it to find your iPhone. If you declined, turn it back on under Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network on your iPhone, and System Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network on your Mac.
Can Transfer send my tandas?
Not yet. For now, Transfer sends tracks; you build your tandas in TandaBox. When MyLonga Studio arrives, Transfer will be able to send complete tandas from Studio as well.
Does anything go through a server?
No. Your files go directly from your Mac to your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
How do I update Transfer?
Choose Check for Updates… from the menu. If a newer version is available, Transfer opens its download link in your browser. It never updates itself and never checks for updates on its own.
During a milonga
Why can’t I tap the controls in Milonga mode?
In Milonga mode, the controls stay locked. Hold the amber ring to unlock them briefly; they lock again on their own.
What happens if a call comes in?
After the call, the night resumes where it left off.
Can calls and alerts come through the speakers?
Yes. Airplane Mode prevents them. Do Not Disturb may still allow calls from Favorites and repeated callers. The pre-Milonga check reminds you.
What if my headphones are disconnected?
Playback stops instead of switching to the speaker.
What is the Emergency Cortina?
A one-touch fallback for when something goes wrong. Choose a track for it in Settings before the night; in Milonga mode you can play it right away or right after the current track.
